From 17 to 20 June 2026, Porte de Versailles in Paris will host the 10th edition of VivaTech, Europe’s largest event dedicated to startups and technology. Over the past decade, VivaTech has grown into an essential global meeting point at the intersection of innovation, business, and the major technological debates shaping our world with artificial intelligence now at the center of nearly every conversation.

To mark its 10th anniversary, VivaTech is expanding its reach beyond the exhibition halls. A special “takeover” of the Champs-Élysées on 14 June and the VivaTech Festival on 20 June will bring technology directly to the public, opening the doors of innovation to a wider audience than ever before.

A New Dimension for a New Decade

In ten years, VivaTech has experienced extraordinary growth. Attendance has increased by 300%, rising from 45,000 visitors in its early years to more than 180,000 visitors in 2025, representing 171 countries. The number of participating startups has tripled, while the number of investors has multiplied twelvefold.

In 2026, VivaTech enters a new phase. The event will fully occupy Hall 7 at Porte de Versailles, spanning three floors with 30% more exhibition space and double the seating capacity. The numbers reflect this scale:

  • 15,000 startups
  • 1,500+ demos
  • 4,000+ business and networking meetings
  • An expanded Investors Office Hours program connecting founders with leading investors

This anniversary edition confirms VivaTech’s ambition: to amplify the voice of technology leaders and innovators on a truly global stage.

Germany Named Country of the Year

Germany has been named VivaTech’s 2026 Country of the Year — a powerful signal for European technological cooperation.

Germany will host the largest national booth in VivaTech history (800 m²) and bring an unprecedented delegation: 200 startups, 14 Länder, 12 government entities, and two federal ministers:

  • Karsten Wildberger, Germany’s Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation
  • Dorothée Bar, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space

At a time of growing geopolitical and technological fragmentation, this spotlight reinforces Europe’s ambition — championed by VivaTech — to strengthen sovereignty and leadership in innovation.

Addressing Today’s Core Tech Challenges

While VivaTech celebrates its first decade, the focus is firmly on the future. The 2026 program bridges two eras: the conclusion of the first wave of digitalization and the beginning of the AI and deeptech age, alongside a stronger emphasis on European technological sovereignty.

This year’s edition is structured around four central themes:

AI & Productivity

According to the 2026 VivaTech Trust Barometer, 89% of executives trust AI to guide their company’s decisions.

Among the innovations presented:

  • Unitree x HABS (world exclusive): a real-time brain-machine interface
  • Sumbu: the first mass-market dual-vector exoskeleton
  • GetVocal AI: a French conversational AI agent platform

India joins as the AI Country Partner, continuing momentum from the AI Impact Summit in Delhi and the Franco-Indian Year of Innovation. Numerous speakers from India will participate throughout the event.

Cybersecurity & Defense

With cyberattacks rising by 75% in one year (Accenture 2024), cybersecurity is more critical than ever.

Notable participants include:

  • Riot (France): developing employee cybersecurity awareness programs
  • Aikido (Belgium): building AI-assisted tools to detect and fix vulnerabilities in developers’ code

Greentech & Energy

Technology is accelerating the climate and energy transition, with startups offering tangible solutions:

  • Nyobolt: ultra-fast energy solutions capable of charging batteries to 80% in under five minutes
  • Bienesis: intelligent crop coverage solutions securing yields against climate hazards
  • Tenaka (world exclusive): regenerating ocean ecosystems

Deeptech

Deeptech innovations will offer a glimpse into the next technological decade:

  • IBM (world exclusive): unveiling a “quantum chandelier” capable of performing calculations far beyond classical computers, with applications in healthcare, telecommunications, and industrial optimization
  • EOS X SPACE (world exclusive): enabling near-space tourism experiences and advancing aerospace innovation
  • Xpanceo (world exclusive): developing an AI- and extended reality-powered smart contact lens that displays information directly in the user’s field of vision

Making Technology Accessible to All

On 20 June, the VivaTech Festival will welcome 18–35-year-olds for a day dedicated to AI & Society, the Creator Economy, and the Talents of Tomorrow. The program will feature a Careers Festival, coaching sessions, and exclusive demonstrations.

For the first time, VivaTech will also take over the Champs-Élysées on Sunday, 14 June. The iconic avenue will be pedestrianized and transformed into an open-air innovation showcase. Through a free immersive journey, startups, businesses, and young talents will introduce Parisians, Île-de-France residents, and international visitors to technologies shaping daily life — from AI and robotics to mobility, climate solutions, and health.

Leadership Perspective

“In ten years, VivaTech has become much more than an event. It is the catalyst of a VivaTech Generation — a global community of entrepreneurs, innovators and investors shaping the tech of tomorrow. This 10th edition marks a change of dimension for VivaTech, reflecting a new era for tech: that of AI, deeptech and a geopolitical reconfiguration in which Europe must fully assume its role.”
