PARC kicks of Robotics Competition for Nigerian universities and secondary schools

The Pan- African Robotics Competition (PARC) has kicked off and its organisers are asking universities and secondary schools to compete.

PARC is organised by the Association of STEM Educators in Nigeria (ASEN) which is an umbrella non-government and non-for profit association of STEM charities, philanthropist and volunteers in Nigeria.  STEM is acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

The main objective of the ASEN is to promote, develop and nurture STEM education and its application in Nigeria.

Brainiacs STEM & Robotics, Roboglobal Education Consultancy, Letslearn.ng, Aramex, DocuLand, Start up Arewa and Young Innovators are collaborating with ASEN to organise Hackathon to select a team to join the ASEN’s Nigerian delegation to Rwanda for PARC 2018.

The selection will focus on the following two categories as outlined in by PARC:

  1. Makers League (Grades: 9 – 12), Age: 15 – 19 years, Challenge: Hospitals of the Future
  2. Engineering League (Grades: Undergraduates), Challenge: Enabling the Disabled

The selection will be held at  No 47, Kanta Road, KAD ICT Hub, Kaduna on n Saturday 24th February 2018 at 9am prompt.
