Facebook has inked partnership with seven hubs across Nigeria to become its innovation partners as the social media giant formally opened its own hub in Lagos in collaboration with CcHub – an organization it already has relationship with.
The company is supporting its new partners with over US65, 000 to kick-start a relationship that is expected to enhance the value of Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem outside of Lagos.
The fund is designed to address each partner’s peculiar needs in their respective locations. The partners include Ventures Platform, Abuja; nHub, Jos; Colab Hub, Kaduna;  and DI Hub,Kano. Others are Start Innovation Hub, Uyo; Roar Hub, Enugu and Ken Saro Wiwa Hub in Port Harcourt.
In a ceremony to mark it’s own NG_Hub in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria,  Facebook said  it recognises “creativity and excellence exist across all of Nigeria and has chosen  to work with the seven other hubs across the country as centres of excellence.”
The seven centres will feature dedicated Facebook spaces, where many of Facebook’s training sessions will take place, and a space where creatives and developers can book to help them advance their skills.
