Emeka Oparah is now the Vice President, Corporate Communications & CSR, Airtel Africa Plc, in Dubai, UAE, and he will oversee operations in 14 African countries to strengthen the telco as an African leading telecommunications brand.

Opara’s elevation deepens a steady career climb of over 25 years of communications practice spanning journalism, advertising, public relations, events, sponsorships and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

According to Airtel, Oparah will be responsible for reputation and perception management including Public Relations, Internal Communications, Media Relations, Corporate Events and Sponsorships, Social Media Management and Crisis Management.

As Vice President, he oversees 14 directors to ensure the consistent promotion off the Airtel brand across 14 countries.

In Airtel Nigeria, before his recent elevation, the tasks of the communication expert as the Vice President, Corporate Communications & CSR included managing the corporate reputation of Airtel Nigeria with responsibility for Public Relations, Internal Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Crisis Management.

Highly versatile, prolific communication essayist and a multi-talented manager, Oparah announced his new resposnsibility in his confirmed social media handle in a now viral Facebook post.
