Entering the Tech Space in 2019
Tishala first entered the technology communications space in 2019 through its involvement with the AI Expo.
When the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted industries across the globe in 2020, the agency found new opportunities within the international technology ecosystem, as growing demand from start-ups and technology businesses increased the need for strategic communications support.
“We are storytellers. We craft stories that not only convey information but also resonate with audiences,” says Nomsa Mdhluli, Founder and CEO of Tishala Communications.
Gold PRISM Award Win for Deepfake Campaign
The agency’s work with global identity verification and anti-fraud company Sumsub led to a 2025 Gold PRISM Award in the Technology category for the campaign, The Rise of Deepfake Fraud During Elections.
“Winning the award affirmed the value of our work within the technology sector. We have spent years helping organisations communicate complex technologies in ways that resonate with diverse audiences,” says Nomsa.
