The countdown to Nigeria’s most prestigious healthcare recognition event — the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) 2025 — has officially begun, with public voting opening on Monday, May 20, 2025. This follows the successful completion of the nomination phase, which recorded thousands of entries from healthcare professionals, institutions, and stakeholders across the country.

Now in its 11th edition, NHEA 2025 will celebrate excellence, innovation, and outstanding impact across Nigeria’s healthcare sector, honoring both individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions over the past year.
After a thorough nomination and vetting process conducted by the NHEA Jury, over 100 nominees have been shortlisted across multiple award categories. Notable finalists include FMC Ebute Metta, Duchess International Hospital, Cedarcrest, LifeWORTH, Total Health Trust, GE Healthcare, JNCI, Stanbic IBTC, Sterling Bank, Mainland FM, Nigeria Health Watch, Mobi Health, Cerba-Lancet, Smile360 Dental, and Nisa Premier Hospital, among others.
“Nominations closed on May 16, 2025, with a lot of excitement and surprises,” said Moses Braimah, NHEA Director of Marketing, Communication & Strategy.

“Voters must create an account using a valid email address. After verification, they can log in and vote for their preferred nominees,” explained Vivian Alikali, NHEA Executive Secretary.
Public voting ends at midnight on June 16, 2025, while winners will be announced at a grand awards ceremony scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“We’re now in the final voting stage. In addition to online voting, our field team is also visiting selected nominees to verify their entries — a measure to ensure transparency and credibility,” said Braimah.
Often described as the “Oscars of Nigerian Healthcare,” the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award recognizes trailblazers across healthcare service delivery, research, technology, and innovation.
Organized by Global Health Project and Resources (GHPR) in collaboration with the Anadach Group (USA) and supported by the PharmAccess Foundation, NHEA continues to serve as a benchmark for industry excellence and stakeholder recognition in Nigeria’s growing healthcare ecosystem.
