The review session will take place 18th September 2025 at the Digital Economy Complex, Mbora, Abuja, starting at 9:00 AM.

Strengthening Nigeria’s Digital Public Infrastructure

The Draft DPI Live Events was designed to support the deployment of national digital infrastructure, enhance e-Government services, and foster collaboration across public and private sectors.

Meanwhile, the Draft NGDX framework provides a secure, unified standard for data sharing across government and private sector entities. By reducing inefficiencies and enabling interoperability, the framework is expected to drive innovation in finance, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

Data Protection and Global Alignment

The NGDX standard is being developed with data protection, authentication, and privacy safeguards, aligning with global best practices. These measures aim to ensure that Nigeria emerges as a leader in digital public infrastructure across Africa.

Inclusive Stakeholder Participation

NITDA emphasized that the public review is part of its Rule-Making Process (RMP), which ensures regulatory instruments are inclusive, trusted, and sustainable.

Stakeholders—including government agencies, industry experts, academia, and civil society—are encouraged to study the drafts and submit feedback via NITDA’s official link.

NITDA DG Reaffirms Commitment

Speaking ahead of the review, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General of NITDA, stressed the need for co-creation:

“Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure must be built inclusively to foster innovation, resilience, and trust. The active participation of stakeholders is critical to ensuring sustainability and successful implementation.”

Part of Renewed Hope Digital Economy Agenda

The DPI and NGDX initiatives are integral to the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Supported by international partners, including the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative, and technical collaboration with Finland, Estonia, Germany, and France, these frameworks will help Nigeria harness digital transformation for inclusive national development.
