Tranter IT, in collaboration with global IT solutions leader ManageEngine, successfully hosted the 2025 ITGOV Conference in Abuja. The event brought brought together top government officials, policymakers, and technology innovators to accelerate digital transformation across Nigeria’s public sector.

With the theme “Advancing Government Operations Through Digital Transformation,” the high-level event served as a strategic platform to shape Nigeria’s digital governance agenda under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Digital transformation has become a national imperative in Nigeria, driving transparency, citizen engagement, service efficiency, revenue generation, and cybersecurity. Yet, key challenges such as digital skills gaps, outdated infrastructure, and evolving cyber threats remain. These pressing issues took center stage at the ITGOV 2025 Conference.
Government’s Push for E-Government and Cloud Transformation
The Nigerian government is investing heavily in digital technologies to modernize service delivery through e-government portals, cloud computing, and enhanced IT infrastructure. Under the leadership of Galaxy Backbone Limited, significant strides are being made to implement cloud-based solutions and automate public sector operations.
According to Melanie Ayoola, Executive Director of the Tranter Group,
“Our goal is to identify areas where intelligent IT management can improve government performance and outcomes. Tranter and ManageEngine are committed to supporting a digitally robust public sector.”
Echoing this vision, Srinivasan Rajasekar, Country Manager for ManageEngine Nigeria/Head of West Africa Operations, emphasized the critical role of digital infrastructure in improving governance.

Keynote Emphasizes Urgency of Public Sector Reforms
Delivering the keynote address on behalf of Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Dr. Femi Adeluyi, Technical Assistant, stressed that digital transformation is not optional. Drawing inspiration from digital leaders like Estonia, South Korea, and the UAE, he advocated for inclusive, data-driven governance powered by broadband, cloud adoption, analytics, and cybersecurity.
He highlighted NITDA’s implementation of Digital Transformation Plans (DTPs) across MDAs and its alignment with the Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan 2.0 (SRAP 2023–2027) to modernize governance in Nigeria.

BPSR Reinforces the Role of Automation in Public Sector Innovation
Representing Director General,Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) Dr. Dasuki Arabi, Mr. Sulola Johnson, Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Research, described IT automation as a strategic necessity for governance. He spotlighted tools like the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) and MDA Website Ranking Scorecard that enhance public service performance.
He also unveiled BPSR’s plan to train 500,000 civil servants in emerging technologies to drive long-term digital innovation.
Showcasing Nigeria’s Digital Reforms and Emerging Technology Roadmap
Nigeria’s digital achievements in the last decade were celebrated, including:
- IPPIS (Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System)
- GIFMIS (Government Integrated Financial Management System)
- TSA (Treasury Single Account)
- BVN integration to strengthen financial security
Looking ahead, BPSR aims to integrate AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to simplify services, especially in underserved regions.
Collaborative Federal-State Approach to Digital Governance
The conference also featured representatives from state governments, emphasizing the importance of harmonizing national and state-level digital strategies. Intergovernmental knowledge-sharing and policy alignment emerged as key enablers for scalable digital public services.
Tranter IT and ManageEngine received accolades for their continued commitment to building a more agile, secure, and citizen-centric digital government in Nigeria.
