Nokia partners MTN on Lumia 625 Smartphone

Nokia, which just sold its mobile business division to Microsoft has said it is partnering with MTN to launch the new Nokia Lumia 625 to its range of Lumia smartphones. The mobile phone manufacturer is known for partnering telecom operators. In July this year, it partnered Airtel to launch Asha 501. The phone manufacturer is also partnering with Etisalat for the pre-order promotion of Nokia 1020. This partnerships move is clearly a wider strategy to remain relevant in the highly competitive market in Nigeria.

The Lumia phone has the largest screen within the Nokia Lumia range with a 4.7 inch screen, it also has some unique features like the 4.7-inch IPS touch display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution, which gives users a fantastic experience while playing games, watching movies and surfing the internet. The Lumia 625 also features a 5 megapixel camera with full 1080p HD video recording, autofocus, LED flash as well as a front facing VGA Camera and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It comes with the trademark Carl Zeiss lens and Nokia Smart Camera technology, which the Lumia range is known for. Nokia is leveraging on this innovations to capture more market share and guarantee more customers satisfaction.

“Bringing a great consumer experience across the Nokia portfolio is top priority for us,” “The response to our Lumia range of smartphones has been very positive and the new Lumia 625 brings a bigger and faster Lumia to the mix, continuing the innovation in product design and services,” said Patrick Dravet, Sales Director, Nokia Middle East and Africa.
