This year’s event is structured to look at the enhanced Opportunities for the Convergence of Media, Regulation, Content and Digitalization under the framework of how to drive convergence through Connectivity Infrastructures.

Forum 2010 theme is: ‘Driving Convergence through Connectivity Infrastructure.

As Ericsson’s Rene Summer has rightly observed; convergence is a transformative process radically changing user behavior and business models particularly in the media and ICT sectors. Convergence is blurring historical market boundaries, and changing the composition and range of market offerings. These new business realities call for more effective and proactive responses within the business, regulatory and legislative environments.

Ericsson was Main Partner for the 3rd Convergence Forum in 2009. It held in Abuja.

4th Convergence Forum offers a window for stakeholders from the Broadcast and Telecoms; Banking and Insurance; Education and Entertainment; and the wider private and public sectors to articulate shared ideas on advancing the industry for the mutual benefits of all players in the field.

Convergence is radically improving the stakes for communication, collaboration, media distribution, delivery of news, sports and entertainment contents; and reconfiguring the business of book publishing, retail banking, e-commerce, advertising, e- and m-payments, dating and socializing like never before within the framework of the digital age. All these can only be possible when connectivity infrastructures  are available.

The 4th Convergence Forum is the place to discuss and share ideas on all these.
