This collaboration aims to leverage Binance’s global blockchain expertise and Africell’s extensive local market reach to accelerate responsible adoption of crypto and digital financial tools on the continent.
Crypto-as-a-Service and Digital Payments
A major pillar of the partnership is the exploration of Crypto-as-a-Service (CaaS) offerings. This includes the potential deployment of crypto payment technologies such as Binance Link, enabling users to access crypto payments and digital services directly through Africell’s platforms.
This initiative is expected to support broader financial inclusion by making digital asset payments more accessible to everyday users.
Expanding Crypto Education Through Binance Academy
Education is another core focus of the collaboration. Binance and Africell plan to roll out co-branded courses and workshops via Binance Academy, aimed at improving blockchain and cryptocurrency knowledge across African markets.
These programmes will target individuals, developers, and small businesses, equipping them with practical skills to participate confidently in the digital economy.
Joint Promotions and User Incentives
The companies are also exploring joint promotional offers for users, to be funded through Binance’s CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) revenue-sharing model. These incentives are designed to encourage adoption while ensuring sustainable growth for both partners.
Enhancing Peer-to-Peer Crypto Transactions
Under the proposed partnership, Africell platforms could integrate with Binance P2P to enhance the speed, security, and convenience of peer-to-peer cryptocurrency transactions, a key channel for crypto adoption across Africa.
Leadership Perspectives on the Partnership
Commenting on the collaboration, Jack Wong, Business Development at Binance, said the partnership reflects a shared vision for digital empowerment:
“Binance and Africell share a commitment to empowering African communities with education, infrastructure, and practical tools to participate confidently in the digital economy. By combining global expertise with local reach, we aim to support responsible adoption of blockchain and crypto solutions and create real value for communities.”
From Africell’s perspective, the partnership aligns with its strategy to expand digital services. Nidal Safetli, Head of Business Development at Africell, noted:
“Partnering with Binance allows us to bring global blockchain expertise into our local ecosystem. Together we aim to equip communities with the knowledge, technical skills, and tools to participate confidently in the digital financial economy.”
Potential Expansion Across Lintel Group
Further details on the joint programmes are expected in the coming months. The collaboration could also be expanded across the wider Lintel Group of companies, extending its reach to additional African markets.
