AfricAI Becomes Exclusive Gateway for Micropolis Robotics in Africa

AfricAI has signed a multi-year exclusive distribution and deployment agreement with Micropolis Robotics, granting AfricAI sole rights to commercialise, deploy, and scale Micropolis’s advanced robotics platforms across Africa. The landmark agreement represents one of the most significant robotics market entries on the continent to date.

Under the deal, Micropolis Robotics has appointed AfricAI as its exclusive continental partner, prohibiting direct sales, alternative distributors, or third-party agents from operating within African markets.

Exclusive Mandate Reshapes Africa’s Robotics Market

The agreement establishes AfricAI as the primary execution, localisation, and go-to-market platform for intelligent robotics across key African sectors, including industrial operations, security, logistics, and critical infrastructure.

This exclusive mandate positions AfricAI as the gateway for advanced autonomous systems entering Africa. It will ensure regulatory compliance, local capacity development, and sovereign control over robotics deployment frameworks. The partnership signals a decisive shift beyond software-based artificial intelligence into physical AI—intelligent machines designed to operate effectively in complex, real-world African environments.

Micropolis: “A Market-Shaping Mandate”

Commenting on the agreement, Fareed Aljawhari, CEO of Micropolis Robotics, described the partnership as transformational:

“This is not a collaboration — it is a market-shaping mandate. AfricAI now represents the exclusive gateway through which Micropolis technologies enter Africa. Their sovereign AI vision, operational reach, and regulatory fluency make them the only partner capable of executing at a continental scale.”

Integrating Robotics with Africa-Centric Sovereign AI

The agreement enables AfricAI to integrate Micropolis’s autonomous robotics systems with its sovereign AI stack, unlocking a range of AI-driven solutions. These include advanced security and surveillance platforms, robotics-enabled logistics and port operations. Others are industrial automation, smart infrastructure, and municipal robotics tailored to African operating conditions.

Embedded within the partnership are long-term, performance-linked expansion rights, automatic renewals, and a structured localisation framework. This framework is designed to anchor robotics deployment, workforce training, and skills transfer firmly within Africa.

AfricAI: Driving Context-Aware, Sovereign Robotics

HRH Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim, Executive Chairman of AfricAI, said the agreement aligns with Africa’s need for locally grounded innovation.

“Africa does not need imported automation — it needs sovereign, context-aware intelligent systems. This exclusive mandate allows AfricAI to industrialise robotics deployment at scale while retaining control, compliance, and value creation on the continent.”

Initial Deployments and Continental Expansion

Initial deployments will focus on security, smart infrastructure, and logistics, with phased expansion across multiple African states. The rollout forms part of AfricAI’s broader continental strategy spanning AI, data infrastructure, and intelligent physical systems.

Industry analysts say the agreement positions AfricAI as one of Africa’s first exclusive robotics gatekeepers. The deal will enable the continent to leapfrog legacy industrialisation models through the deployment of autonomous, AI-driven infrastructure.
