Key regulators in the Nigerian tech and privacy sectors, including Mr. Kachifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA); Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC); and Dr. Vincent Olatunji, National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), are set to headline the upcoming recognition gathering of the “50 Most Valuable Personalities in Nigeria’s Digital Economy.”

These regulatory leaders will lead Plenary Conversations on pivotal topics such as ‘Nigeria’s Digital Dynamics and the New Economy,’ ‘Navigating Challenges and Opportunities in Nigeria’s Digital Economy,’ and ‘Shaping the Future of Nigeria’s Digital Landscape.’

Joining them will be Mr. Tony Izuagbe Emoekpere, President of the Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria (ATCON); Mr. Gbenga Adebayo, Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecom Operators of Nigeria (ALTON); and other notable industry figures.

Dr. Olatunji will also preside over the pre-launch ceremony of the National Privacy Awareness Campaign.

Scheduled for 9 am on Thursday, March 22, 2024, at the Providence Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, the event will feature an industry overview by Ikechukwu Nnamani, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Realty Nigeria (formerly Medallion Data Centres Limited). Nnamani, a significant industry investor, will shed light on the realities and misconceptions of Nigeria’s digital economy.
