Taking place from January 20 to 22 at the Foire Internationale de Casablanca, WAM Morocco will host the first-ever manufacturing exhibition appearances in Morocco by major global corporations including SAP, Sumitomo Corporation, ENGIE, Vigel, and Zoho Corporation. Their participation signals growing international confidence in Morocco’s industrial vision and its role as a gateway between Africa, Europe, and global manufacturing ecosystems.
A Truly Global Manufacturing Convergence
Beyond its startup-driven initiatives, WAM Morocco brings together more than 100 exhibiting companies from over 18 countries, including the United States, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Vietnam, and others. This wide-ranging participation positions the exhibition as one of the most internationally representative manufacturing events ever hosted in the region.
Global technology and industrial leaders such as Schneider Electric, Teledyne, Vivo Energy, Autoritat Portuària de Barcelona, Kirby Building Systems, and OCP Circular Technologies will also take part, creating a powerful platform for cross-border collaboration, technology transfer, and investment mobilisation across Africa’s industrial value chain.
Morocco Positioned at the Centre of Industry 4.0 Transformation
According to Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, the quality and diversity of exhibitors reflects the accelerating momentum behind Morocco’s industrial transformation.
“The calibre of companies choosing WAM Morocco for their first manufacturing exhibition in the country demonstrates the extraordinary confidence global leaders have in Morocco’s industrial future. Morocco is not just participating in the future of intelligent manufacturing, it is actively shaping it. WAM Morocco serves as the strategic gateway where global innovation meets regional ambition, unlocking partnerships that will define Africa’s industrial trajectory.”
This momentum is reinforced by Morocco’s long-term industrial strategies, including Digital Morocco 2030, growing advanced manufacturing capacity, and preparations for major global events such as the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Strong Institutional and Government-Backed Support
The exhibition is supported by some of Morocco’s most influential industrial and institutional stakeholders, including MSC Pro, CDD, CE3M, Amlog, Fenagri, CGM, OFPPT, and UM6P, alongside strategic sponsors Seidor, Transit Aharram, and Plastic Science by Design.
This institutional backing, combined with support from sovereign financial institutions and industry federations such as CDG and APEBI, positions WAM Morocco as a government-endorsed catalyst for national and regional industrial advancement.
A spokesperson for UM6P noted:
“Our participation in WAM Morocco reflects our belief in Morocco’s ability to lead the next generation of intelligent industrial ecosystems. This platform offers a unique opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and accelerate the technologies shaping tomorrow’s manufacturing landscape.”
A Rare Meeting Point for Industry, Policy and Investment
Industry experts view WAM Morocco as a critical convergence point for decision-makers across sectors.
Hatim Chraibi, Principal at SPIRE Advisory Group, highlighted the event’s strategic value:
“WAM Morocco is one of the rare opportunities where industry leaders, policymakers, and investors come together in the same room. It is a vital platform to build synergies, raise awareness, and unlock the industrial potential of both Morocco and the wider African continent.”
Launch of Africa’s First International Startup Pavilion
In a landmark move, WAM Morocco will debut Africa’s first international startup pavilion, backed by Invest India, and open direct pathways between African industrial challenges and global startup solutions.
The initiative also introduces the Supernova Challenge, Africa’s first manufacturing-focused startup competition. The challenge offers a USD 10,000 cash prize and has already attracted over 40 innovative startups competing in advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, supply chain optimisation, and future mobility.
The top 10 finalists showcase breakthrough innovation in robotics, AI-powered quality control, sustainable materials, industrial IoT, smart logistics, and next-generation energy systems. These finalists will pitch live to leading investors and industry executives, while winners secure not only funding but also strategic partnerships and accelerated market access across Africa and beyond.
Driving Smarter Cities and Mobility Solutions
Jaafar Elalamy, CEO of Seiki, underscored the importance of the event’s timing:
“WAM Morocco comes at a critical moment. As Morocco prepares for the 2030 World Cup and advances its Digital Morocco 2030 goals, integrating mobility data into urban planning is no longer optional. Morocco can become a model for smarter, data-driven, and more sustainable cities.”
Expanding Pan-African Impact Through Strategic Partnerships
Extending its reach beyond North Africa, WAM Morocco has secured FEWACCI (Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce & Industry) as a strategic partner. This collaboration connects Morocco’s industrial ecosystem with West Africa’s rapidly growing markets, unlocking new opportunities for regional trade, investment, and technology deployment.
Powered by GITEX Africa and Global Expertise
Anchoring this global participation is a strong institutional and industry backbone. Organised by KAOUN International (DWTC) and delivered in partnership with MSC Pro, CDD, UM6P, Advantage Austria, and Der Mittelstand (BVMW, Germany), WAM Morocco brings together public and private sector leaders to drive practical Industry 4.0 transformation across borders.
Held in association with GITEX Africa, the exhibition taps into one of the world’s most influential technology ecosystems, reinforcing Morocco’s position as a continental hub for advanced manufacturing and future mobility.
