The partnership aims to deliver factory-integrated data centre platforms specifically engineered for next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) workloads across the European market.

Vertiv OneCore Selected as Standardised AI Platform

Following a competitive pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) process, GreenScale selected Vertiv as its preferred technology provider. The collaboration will centre on standardised, prefabricated Vertiv™ OneCore hybrid-built data centres. Under the agreement, GreenScale will manage site construction and wide-area infrastructure, while Vertiv supplies AI-ready modules designed for liquid-cooled deployments of high-density computing hardware, including NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GB200/300 and future Vera Rubin GPUs.

Engineering for High-Density AI and Speed-to-Market

The partnership directly addresses the intense power and cooling demands of modern AI. Vertiv’s OneCore platform supports over 200 kW per rack and features a dual-loop liquid cooling system with coolant distribution units (CDUs). It is complemented by the Vertiv™ SmartRun overhead prefabricated infrastructure for integrated power and thermal management.

“AI workloads demand density and speed,” said Vedran Brzic, VP of Infrastructure Solutions Business EMEA at Vertiv.

“Our scalable prefabricated solution integrates power, thermal, and IT infrastructure into a single factory-assembled system, helping customers deploy high-density capacity more efficiently and accelerate their time-to-market.”

Powering GreenScale’s European Expansion Ambitions

This standardised approach is a key enabler for GreenScale’s significant expansion plans. The company aims to deploy approximately 120 MW of capacity in Northern Ireland and over 300 MW across the Nordics, with a long-term vision of nearly 1 GW across Europe.

“By standardising on Vertiv’s prefabricated platforms, we gain significant advantages in speed-to-market, quality control, and operational efficiency,” said Dan Thomas, CEO at GreenScale.

“This collaboration helps us minimise on-site complexity while optimising our facilities for the most demanding AI workloads, supporting our ambitious growth strategy.”
