The 3rd West Africa Telecom Summit & Expo which is already gaining traction has been given another boost as Qitech Global Solutions and Telecom Allianz have given their unflinching support to the summit as sponsors.

The event scheduled to come off at the newly built plush Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra from May 19th to 20th, 2016 will bring together all key stakeholders and players of the West African Telecom and ICT ecosystem to discuss solutions meant to facilitate social and economic development.



Qitech is an ICT marketing company with huge presence in Nigeria, while Telecom Allianz, is a full service technology agency and provider of telecom consulting and ICT procurement services. Commenting on the sponsorship, Dr Sola Afolabi, Chairman of Qitech said, “This offers us an opportunity to directly support an industry that has the potential to rewrite West Africa’s history. Now in its 3rd year, the summit will address some of the top demands of consumers and businesses all across the region with focus on consolidating the growth in the sector and provide an understanding of the dynamics that propel it and forecast future trends & expected developments.


The event will also provide an exciting platform for telecom operators, smartphone companies, ICT service providing companies among others to showcase and demonstrate their products and services at the grand exhibition.


According to Mr. Naphtal, the ultimate purpose of the 3rd edition of WATSE is to support the mobile industry to increase the adoption of the internet for the underserved by tackling key barriers: network coverage, affordability, digital skills and locally relevant content
