Why the Price Hike? NIMC Explains
According to NIMC, the updated price list comes after “a decade of maintaining the same price structure.” The commission states that the increase is necessary to:
- Offset rising operational costs
- Support new digital identity services
- Enhance infrastructure and service delivery
- Meet revenue generation and tax harmonization targets
The move is also part of broader reforms to digitize identity verification and facilitate social intervention programmes backed by reliable data.
