Themed “Right of Way and Protection of Broadband Infrastructure – The Road to Success in Broadband Investment and Connectivity,” the event convened stakeholders from federal and state governments, private sector players, telecom operators, and regulators to chart a unified roadmap for broadband expansion and infrastructure protection nationwide.
Globacom’s Strategic Role in Driving Digital Growth
As a key sponsor and active participant, Globacom provided logistical and technical support to the NCC, underscoring its leadership in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation. The company’s presence at the two-day roundtable reflects its unwavering commitment to building a connected, secure, and inclusive digital ecosystem.
Industry experts describe the roundtable as a critical platform for aligning public-private collaboration, promoting policy harmonisation, and addressing Right of Way (RoW) challenges that often slow broadband deployment. Globacom’s participation is viewed as strategic to influencing national broadband policy, investment incentives, and infrastructure protection frameworks.
Driving Inclusive Connectivity and National Security
Globacom reaffirmed that digital transformation must be both inclusive and secure, highlighting its mission to drive affordable broadband access to every part of Nigeria.
“A resilient broadband infrastructure is vital for Nigeria’s economic growth and global competitiveness. Our participation in this roundtable is a continuation of our mission to support national development through technology,” the company stated.
Through its involvement in the Critical National Information Infrastructure Protection Plan (CNIIPP), Globacom continues to collaborate with government and industry partners to safeguard vital digital assets and counter threats to national telecom infrastructure.
Towards a Digitally Empowered and Secure Nigeria
As deliberations continue, Globacom remains steadfast in its role as both a telecom provider and a trusted development partner, championing policies that promote broadband expansion, infrastructure resilience, and digital inclusion.
With sustained investment in broadband and security, Globacom is helping to lay the foundation for a digitally empowered Nigeria, ensuring that connectivity becomes a catalyst for economic diversification, innovation, and national security.
