CWG, Gilat organise business optimizing seminar

Computer warehouse Group in collaboration with Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd and other of their partners put up a business seminar with the theme “optimizing business performance and profitability” The two days seminar which was organized in two separate venues respectively attracted major players from the banking, oil and gas, ICT, pharmaceutical and the manufacturing industry. Declaring the event open, the head marketing communications CWG, Mr. Chidi Okpala, said the seminar is put up so that at the end of the day while customers get value for their money, the company on the other hand will be improving profitability.

Mr. Robert Bell of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd, in a lecture he titled “retail networks and advance connectivity solutions”, said as more optic fibre cable are spreading throughout Africa and network backbone shifting from satellite to fibre, it is worthwhile that there should be a link between fibre optic and satellite. Robert opine that using fibre in the place of satellite shouldn’t be a welcome development in the continent broadband as they both serve connectivity solutions, satellite giving backup to fibre connection.
