  • LCCI President Urges Tech-Driven Development in Africa

The 11th edition of the ICTEL Expo 2025, organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), kicked off in Lagos with a compelling call to action from LCCI President and Chairman of Council, Mr. Gabriel Idahosa. He applauded stakeholders in the ICT sector for their resilience and affirmed that this year’s theme—“Leveraging Technology for Innovation and Development in Africa”—is crucial for the continent’s sustainable development.

Galaxy Backbone Takes Center Stage

At the forefront of the Expo was Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Nigeria’s premier provider of digital infrastructure and shared ICT services. GBB’s infrastructure backbone also includes a 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) and a state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre (SOC). These hubs deliver comprehensive cybersecurity services, including:

NICTIB: Powering a Connected Nigeria

Professor Adeyanju also highlighted the ongoing success of the National Information Communication Technology Infrastructure Backbone (NICTIB) project. So far, over 5,000 kilometers of fibre optic cable have been laid across 28 states, interconnecting:
