The acquisition delivers immediate benefits to customers through Frogfoot’s extensive national footprint, proven operational expertise, and long-term investment in fibre infrastructure.

Seamless Integration into National Fibre Infrastructure

With the integration of Mitsol’s fibre assets into Frogfoot’s national network, customers will gain access to Frogfoot’s national pricing structure, enhanced client support, and a wider choice of internet service providers (ISPs).

“This acquisition enables us to extend the benefits of our national fibre platform to more households while maintaining service continuity,” the company noted.

Strategic Fit Strengthens Durban Presence

Commenting on the deal, Richard Henn, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Frogfoot, described Mitsol as a strategic and high-quality addition.

“Mitsol is a meaningful acquisition for us. This is a well-built and well-maintained network, and the Mitsol team has done an excellent job growing and supporting its client base,” Henn said.

He added that the geographic location of Mitsol’s fibre precincts aligns seamlessly with Frogfoot’s existing infrastructure, with minimal overlap, enabling efficient expansion across the greater Durban area.

Mitsol to Continue as ISP Under Resinet Brand

Despite the change in network ownership, Mitsol will continue to operate as an internet service provider on the Frogfoot network under its established Resinet brand, ensuring continuity for existing customers.

Frogfoot confirmed that its technical and operations teams will work closely with Mitsol to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to services.
