Frogfoot Networks has acquired the fibre network assets of Infinity Wireless (Pty) Ltd in Rustenburg. A strategic move to deepen its national presence, the acquisition is effective from 1 November 2025. It marks Frogfoot’s expansion into the North West province, integrating a key regional network into its national infrastructure.

This transaction supports Frogfoot’s growth strategy by adding a thriving regional market to its footprint. It also reinforces its commitment to investing in long-term, quality connectivity across South Africa.
Seamless Transition with Zero Customer Disruption
A core principle of the acquisition is ensuring complete continuity for existing customers. Infinity Wireless will continue operating as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) on the network, with its customers experiencing no service disruption and requiring no action.
Over the next 12 months, the Rustenburg network will be technically integrated into Frogfoot’s national operating model while Infinity manages the customer relationship. This phased approach guarantees stability and uninterrupted service throughout the transition period.
Partnership-Driven Growth for Long-Term Value
Both companies emphasized the collaborative and partner-centric nature of the deal. Frogfoot highlighted its respect for the legacy and local expertise of Infinity Wireless.
“This is an exciting acquisition that reflects our commitment to regional growth and network investment,” said Richard Henn, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Frogfoot Networks
. “We are particularly pleased to be able to continue working closely with the Koen brothers, who founded this impressive business. We are partner-centric and could not have hoped for better people to join hands with on this journey.”
JJ Koen of Infinity Wireless echoed the sentiment, stating, “Frogfoot has the scale, technical resources and national presence needed to continue delivering value to customers in Rustenburg. This decision supports the long-term stability of the network and the community we serve.”
Future Benefits: Network Investment and Greater ISP Choice
Frogfoot’s investment signifies a major upgrade for the Rustenburg fibre ecosystem. Customers will benefit from Frogfoot’s extensive national infrastructure investment, which often includes future network and speed upgrades.
A significant long-term advantage is increased consumer choice. Once the transition is complete, the network will be part of the Frogfoot open-access platform, allowing customers to select from a broader range of ISPs, fostering competition and better service offerings for the community.
