Egypt is set to anchor Africa’s artificial intelligence momentum as it hosts Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2026, the world’s first major AI expo and summit of the year.

The event, taking place February 11-12 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), will convene global tech leaders, policymakers, and startups to accelerate the region’s AI ambitions, projected to contribute over $1.5 trillion to Africa’s GDP by 2030.

A Strategic Hub for AI Policy and Investment

Organized by GITEX in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the summit arrives at a pivotal moment.

Egypt ranks first in Africa for Government AI Readiness and serves as a strategic gateway linking Africa, the Levant, and the GCC. The event aims to attract international funding, strengthen talent, and translate national AI strategy into tangible economic impact, aligning with Egypt’s Second National AI Strategy.

Global Enterprises and Startups Showcase Scalable AI Solutions

Over 350 AI enterprises and startups from more than 30 countries will demonstrate production-scale deployments across sectors like cloud, cybersecurity, fintech, and healthcare.

The expo features global giants such as Microsoft, Cisco, HPE, and AWS, alongside regional leaders including e& Egypt and Arabic-first AI innovators like WideBot AI.

“Generative AI is reshaping what’s possible. We are committed to empowering Egypt’s government, businesses, and innovators with secure, responsible AI technologies,” said Mohamed El Kassem, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt.

Egypt’s Thriving AI Startup Ecosystem Takes Center Stage

Egypt solidified its position as Africa’s top-funded startup ecosystem in the first half of 2025, raising $339 million—31% of the continent’s total.

The summit will spotlight pioneering startups such as Germany’s Imensusthe UK’s Emotii, and local standout Olimi AI, which develops multilingual AI agents tuned for Arabic dialects.

“We’re excited to showcase how our philosophy shapes Arabic voice AI,” said Shaden El Olimi, CCO of Olimi AI.

From Autonomous Mobility to Sovereign AI Infrastructure

Attendees will experience frontier AI applications delivering real-world impact. Highlights include Brightskies’ autonomous driving platform, THAKAA’s Arabic-language AI for healthcare leadership, and NtegralOne’s high-performance AI stations enabling local compute independence.

Sovereign AI Summit: Architecting Intelligent Economies

A high-level summit will tackle critical themes like AI-driven GDP growth, sovereignty, and skills development. Featured speakers include Dr. Michel Rogy of The World Bank and Zsuzsanna Hargitai of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
