Boosting Capacity with LKK2 in Lekki
The newly launched LKK2 facility adds nearly 2MW of installed IT capacity and 13,000 square feet of data hall space, providing the scalable infrastructure needed to support Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy. LKK2 will be interconnected with LKK1, which hosts the landing station for the 2Africa subsea cable. This strategic setup gives enterprises seamless access to the cable’s 46+ landing points across 33 countries, spanning Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Enabling Low-Latency Global Connectivity
Integrating LKK2 with the 2Africa cable and ServiceFabric®, gives West African businesses low-latency, high-throughput connectivity worldwide. The facility interconnects with LOS1 and LOS2 in Lagos, delivering resilience, redundancy, and high-speed connectivity for enterprises and hyperscalers. LOS1 is Nigeria’s leading internet peering point, and LOS2 is Digital Realty’s hub on Victoria Island.
Driving Nigeria’s Digital Growth
“LKK2 is a significant milestone in our journey to support digital transformation in Africa,” said Ike Nnamani, Managing Director, Digital Realty Nigeria. Ranked among Nigeria’s 50 Most Valuable Personalities in the Digital Economy, Nnamani leads the company’s market push.
“Our continued investment reinforces our commitment to enabling seamless global interconnectivity and providing a future-ready infrastructure platform for local and global enterprises,” he added.
Cementing Leadership in Africa’s Data Ecosystem
Digital Realty was recently ranked Africa’s number one provider on Cloudscene’s Data Center Ecosystem Leaderboard. The recognition highlights its leadership role in shaping the continent’s digital future. With exponential data growth and rising demand for cloud services, the LKK2 expansion provides critical infrastructure for enterprises. It will also serve content providers, and multinationals seeking secure, reliable, and interconnected operations in Africa.
Ready for Operations in 2025
The new data center will officially go live later this year, offering enterprises across Nigeria and beyond a carrier-neutral, cloud-ready infrastructure designed to scale with the region’s accelerating digital economy.
