Cool Microfinance Bank Limited has appointed Roseline Anibueze, popularly known as Lady Rose, as its pioneer Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), marking a strategic move toward technology-led financial inclusion in Nigeria’s microfinance sector.

Recognised as one of the youngest chief executives in the industry, Anibueze brings a tech-forward leadership style aimed at modernising grassroots banking and expanding access to financial services for individuals and small businesses.
Building a Digital Microfinance Institution
Founded between 2024 and 2025, Cool Microfinance Bank is a Lagos-based financial institution under the Cool Group of Companies. The bank officially opened its headquarters in Ikota, Lagos, in December 2025, with a clear focus on technology-driven financial inclusion.

Strategic Significance of the Appointment
The appointment represents a shift from traditional leadership norms in the microfinance sector toward merit, competence, and capacity-driven governance.
In her early thirties, Anibueze brings over 12 years of experience across banking, finance, consulting, and enterprise development. She played a central role in the establishment, licensing, and operational framework of Cool Microfinance Bank.
In late 2025, she was also invested as an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, further underscoring her professional standing in the industry.
Education and Professional Background
Anibueze is a Political Science graduate of the University of Ibadan and has additional professional training in export management programmes and business strategy. Her multidisciplinary background underpins her approach to building scalable, technology-enabled financial institutions.

Announced in April 2026, the appointment also highlights the bank’s readiness to commence full operations in Ikota, Lagos, under Anibueze’s leadership. Cool Microfinance Bank has a strong focus on digital inclusion, SME financing, and operational efficiency.
