BICTDA Strengthens Collaboration with NSE for Tech and Infrastructure Growth

The Borno State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BICTDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) to foster technological innovation and regional development in Borno State.

This commitment was highlighted during a strategic visit to the NSE headquarters in Abuja, led by Dr. Idriss Mohammed Yelwa, Chairman of the BICTDA Board. The visit also served as an opportunity to express appreciation to NSE President and Chairman of the Council,  Margaret Aina Oguntala, for appointing Mohammed Kabir Wanori, Executive Secretary of BICTDA, as Chairman of NSE’s Regional Development Board.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Yelwa praised Oguntala for the well-deserved appointment of Wanori. He described him as a dedicated professional with a track record of delivering on his mandates. Yelwa emphasized that BICTDA and NSE will work closely to drive infrastructural and technological advancements in Borno State.

Under Wanori’s leadership, the Regional Development Board will play a crucial role in shaping Nigeria’s infrastructure and engineering landscape.

  • Aligning regional projects with national and global development goals, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Collaborating with public and private stakeholders to develop and monitor the implementation of regional development projects.

By aligning BICTDA’s technology-driven vision with NSE’s expertise in engineering and infrastructure, this collaboration is expected to accelerate technological adoption. It is also expected  enhance digital transformation, and support economic growth in Borno State and beyond.
