The onboarding session, held at the Blockfuse Labs headquarters, brought together participants across two tracks Software Engineering and Blockchain Engineering for a structured introduction to the demands and expectations of the program. Unlike typical onboarding events driven by hype, the session focused on clarity, discipline, and accountability.

Participants were welcomed by the Co-founder and CEO of Blockfuse Labs Peter Adaaku Jr. popularly known as Scar Face in the web3 ecosystem.

This was not a class. It was a reset we want people to understand where they are, what they signed up for, and what it will take to stay consistent when things get hard.

Training Beyond Tutorials

Blockfuse Labs addresses a persistent challenge in tech education: the widening gap between learning concepts and building real-world solutions. While many aspiring developers rely on tutorials, few acquire the skills needed to work on real systems, collaborate effectively, or meet professional standards.

Cohort IV confronts this gap directly.

The program introduces participants to a training model built on hands-on projects, strict accountability, and continuous practice. Instead of passive learning, developers attend consistently, meet deadlines, and actively engage with instructors and mentors.

This is not a casual learning environment,  It mirrors how real engineering teams work.”

Why Commitment Is Required

The Software Engineering track runs for one year and follows two phases, beginner and advanced, each lasting six months. The curriculum builds strong fundamentals, promotes clean and maintainable code, and guides participants into complex systems and industry-level practices.

The Blockchain Engineering track runs for 20 intensive weeks, guiding participants from blockchain fundamentals to building decentralized applications using smart contracts, Rust, Solidity, and modern Web3 tools.

Despite the difference in duration, both tracks demand the same level of commitment, consistency, and growth through practice.

You don’t need to know everything today. What matters is your willingness to learn fast and improve every week,” Peter told participants.

Blockfuse Labs Launches Online Software Engineering Track

In a major announcement during the onboarding, Blockfuse Labs revealed the launch of an online version of its Software Engineering track, extending access to aspiring developers regardless of location.

The online program is priced at ₦100,000 and requires only a laptop and a stable internet connection. In the words of the team, Muhammed doesn’t need to go to the mountain this time—the mountain is coming to Muhammed. With this expansion, Blockfuse Labs aims to remove geographic barriers that often limit access to structured, high-quality technical training.

“This is about meeting people where they are,” the CEO noted. “Talent is everywhere. Opportunity should be too.”

For registration details and updates, interested candidates are encouraged to visit Blockfuse Labs’ Facebook and X pages.

Building in Public as a Core Skill

A defining feature of Blockfuse Labs’ training approach is its strong emphasis on building in public. Participants document their learning journey, explain their projects, and grow comfortable speaking about their work.

This includes writing posts, creating short videos, and occasionally presenting progress on camera.

According to the Blockfuse Labs team, this focus on communication prepares developers for real-world environments where technical ability alone is not sufficient.

By the end of this program, no one should be afraid to explain what they’re building, Engineers must be able to show their work.” The CEO said.

Looking Ahead

With Cohort IV officially underway, classes are set to begin immediately under a structured schedule that increases in intensity as the program progresses. Attendance is mandatory, and accountability remains non-negotiable.

Blockfuse Labs continues to position itself not just as a learning platform, but as a professional training ground for developers committed to building long-term careers in technology.
