Belgium Strengthens Africa’s Digital Future with ATOMNIA Partnership

Belgium is expanding its digital footprint in Africa with the launch of ATOMNIA’s OMNIA solution, backed by the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) and Belgian technology incubator IGNITY. The partnership aims to accelerate the rollout of secure, scalable, and flexible digital infrastructure across the continent.

Unveiled at the AfricaCom reception at the Belgian Consulate in Cape Town, the initiative supports ATOMNIA’s Africa-wide deployment through distribution partner Smart Hands Africa, focusing on secure connectivity for underserved businesses.

OMNIA Targets Africa’s Connectivity and Cybersecurity Gaps

The OMNIA solution, delivered through a pay-as-you-go model, tackles persistent challenges faced by African small and medium enterprises, including:

  • Remote locations
  • Unreliable internet access
  • Intermittent electricity
  • High-cost, inflexible contracts from global vendors

ATOMNIA CEO and co-founder Anthony Senter praised the partnership for accelerating its African strategy:
“Our collaborations with IGNITY and AWEX have been invaluable. We look forward to expanding our partner network and contributing meaningfully to Africa’s digital growth.”

A Smart, All-In-One SASE Solution Built for African Realities

OMNIA is engineered as a Smart SASE and SD-WAN solution combining:

  • AI-driven threat detection
  • Flexible financing and monthly subscriptions

Key features include:

  • Multiple connection types: fibre, LTE/5G, satellite (including Starlink)
  • 12-volt battery backup for power-unstable regions
  • No long-term contracts or lock-ins, unlike traditional vendor models

CEO of Smart Hands Africa Anton Jacobsz emphasized OMNIA’s mission:
“This is how we build a connected, empowered, tech-enabled Africa—by lowering costs and eliminating inflexible contracts.”

IGNITY and ATOMNIA Strengthen Long-Term Collaboration
