In 2018, the Google for Startups Accelerator: Africa was announced. Since then, Google has collaborated closely with 106 startups from 17 African nations, creating environments that enhanced their initiatives, facilitated funding, and resulted in the creation of job opportunities.

Throughout the journey alongside African startups, there has been a firsthand observation of their resilience and determination to address challenges specific to Africa.

The potential of AI to enhance their innovations and magnify their pioneering visions has become evident. With this in mind, the introduction of the “Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First” program is met with excitement.

The program, spanning 10 weeks and without equity requirements, is designed for startups up to series A either located in Africa or actively developing AI and machine learning solutions centered around Africa.

The primary objective of this accelerator is to establish connections between the finest Google products and experts, thereby empowering startups to expand their enterprises and attain success within the rapidly evolving realm of AI and technology.
